First: BRILLIANT. Very impressive.
Second: There's a bug. I fixed it.
In case the sheet goes away (and my examples do), the solution works as so
=INDEX(CHILDREN(Example23), COUNT(CHILDREN(Example23)) + COUNTIF(CHILDREN(Example23), ISBLANK(@cell)), 1)
using the INDEX function and COUNT of the number children.
The bug was that there might be blanks in the children. I added the COUNTIF() portion to account for that.
Third: The First is not sarcasm, despite the bug. I really really like that solution. Bravo Zulu.
