Simple Addition

Hi everyone, I'm struggling to add in sequence. In the pic below i added (=89+100) = 89100 instead of 189. There is text in the indented groups. I also want the totals to move up and down when changes occur within the data, please guide me.

I would recommend using the SUM() formula... SUM(89,100)... instead of the + symbol. That being said, those values are either formatted to the left hand side, or being stored as text. If they are being stored as text you can convert with the VALUE() formula so they can be used as numbers.

Try using =SUM and the rows.
