Question regarding checking a box and having the user's name populate

We have a check sheet for our team where multiple users are checking off tasks they are completing for the day.

Is it possible that when a user checks a box, showing the work is complete, their name will populate in a column to the right?

Yes, and there are at least two options. The best depends on how many different people can check the box.

1. Workflow that triggers and checks the modified by column and adds the name to the cell.
2. Please have a look at my post below with a method I developed.
