Copy partial row to empty sheet

Hi,

Looking for the best way to copy partial rows from one sheet to another (empty sheet) based on a checkbox being selected...

I have tried INDEX MATCH and INDEX COLLECT, but it seems that would require me to type the formula in with sheet references about 100 times.

Is there something I am missing?

    Hi @Improve Consulting

DataMesh is a good option. It's easy to use and a good value for the price. The result is a one-way push from the source to the target and you can map whichever column(s) you want. One downside worth mentioning is that it's not as fast as a cross sheet formula. One huge plus though is that if a row is added to the sSurce sheet, DataMesh will automatically add it to the Target sheet as long as the lookup value is unique.

Another option, which you probably already tried or doesn't fit the need, is to use a report.

    I hope that helps.

    Hi @Improve Consulting

I hope you're well and safe!

You could use cross-sheet formulas combined with either a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH structure to connect the sheets, and when you update the source sheet, it will reflect on the destination sheet.

Another option would be to use so-called helper sheets. In short, copy the row to a helper sheet and then use my method described previously to get the values you need to another helper sheet and then copy/move the row from that sheet to the main destination sheet.

To connect them row by row, you'd use an Autonumber Column in the Source sheet and add a so-called helper column to manually add the row id on as many rows as you think you need in the Destination sheet.

    Would that work/help?

    I hope that helps!

Be safe, and have a fantastic week!
