Yes. Have a look at the automation workflows. You can specify a trigger (which can be date or action based), conditions, recipient, sender, and message. Have a look at this:

Thank you so much. I have created the workflow now, but it seems to only work when i run it.

How do I make it happen automatically?

You can specify a trigger to run the work flow automatically (in the first box in the automation wizard). This can be date based: every day, week, month, in a certain date, a day before a date, etc. etc. or based on something within the sheet itself: a box being checked a specific value being added to a cell, a new row being added, etc. What do you want to trigger your automatic emails?

I want the date to trigger the alert, and if I run it, it does. but if I change the date in the smartsheet to test it, it doesnt trigger.

Is my understanding correct? You have a date column in your sheet and have set the trigger to run on that date field. You enter today's date in the trigger column on the sheet. Save the sheet and wait for the email. But when the time of the alert passes, the email is not sent?

That is correct.

I am not the license older, but have Admin privileges to the sheet the license older started for me to use.

Can you check that the time zone that the automation is using is your time zone?

This one of mine sends at 7am on the trigger day in the PST time zone.
