How do I reference a whole column in the count function?

Hi. I'm trying to count how many projects have a status of "not started". The column with status is in a different sheet. How do I reference the whole column in the formula? I keep getting unparseable. I tried =COUNT(COLLECT({status}1:{Status}21, {status}1:{Status}21, ="Not Started"))

can you try select the column (click like shown on the screenshot) when you set the range

Does this work fine ?

I have used the function COUNTIF BTW.
