Referencing a detailed sheet from the master project sheet

New to SmartSheet, so I apologize if this is simple but I couldn't find the answer myself.

My organization uses a sheet to list all of our projects and under each project is the list of the activities. This is getting unwieldy. Is it possible to list all the projects on a master sheet and have the details on a separate, related sheet?

I am thinking that the detailed sheet could pass the needed information regarding progress to the master sheet and access to the detailed sheets could have different security.

Maybe there is a different way the office should be using sheets entirely.

Any insights or links to information would be greatly appreciated.

If you're on a Business or Enterprise plan, what I would personally do in this instance is use a Report to gather multiple sheets in one place. There's a Sheet Link column that will make it easy to jump into the individual projects from that point.

You can filter a Report to only show specific rows from each project, for example a top, summary row (as long as there's consistent data across all of them).

Absolutely, you can utilize master-detail setups in spreadsheets or explore project management tools like Asana or Trello for streamlined organization.

• You could also break out the sheet into multiple reports—one per project.
