How do I auto-update Start Dates for tasks that are incomplete?
I want the vertical line representing Today to "snowplow" the End Date of every overdue task forward, automatically adjusting all Incomplete tasks and their dependencies so that the Finish Line for the entire project automatically adjusts itself until all tasks are complete.
Here is the automation I am TRYING to create, but the automation tool will not cooperate. What am I not understanding to make this work?
TRIGGER = Today's Date
CONDITION 1: [CHECK BOX] = [UNCHECKED]
CONDITION 2: [END DATE] [IS IN THE PAST]
ACTION: [END DATE] changes to [TODAY'S DATE] (and therefore auto-increases the duration between the Start and End Dates of each task, showing how long a particular task or Phase has dragged on and not allowing the End Date of any incomplete task to be able to be left in the past. (And I don't want to have to keep manually updating them.)

Are you able to provide screenshots for context?

Hi Joshua,
If your Start date / End date / duration columns are used in the project setting, I believe it is not possible to add formulas or automation to those columns.
You would need to add additional Actual Start/end date columns. So that the overdue of previous task doesn't show up on current task.
