Is the column type "Modified Date" a date column?
Hi, I'm trying to get the most recent date from a "modified date" column that smartsheet fills automatically.
Here is what I'm trying:
=MAX(Updated:Updated)
And I'm getting the error:
#INVALID COLUMN VALUE
Just for kicks, I changed the column type to a straight up "date" column and got the same error.
Help?

Hey @JLK
Did you change your formula column, [Days Pending], to a date column? Your Max formula will return a date, as @Anjanesh Vaidya's screenshot indicates.

Hi JLK,
I have tried the same formula and it's working when the column type of the column where we are applying the formula is a 'Date'.
If it is still not working for you, can you please provide a screenshot for context?
Thank You !

The above is a screenshot showing that the column type is a date column.
and then this is my formula:
And this is the result:
When I add in brackets eg: =Max([Updated]:[Updated]), smartsheet autocorrects it to the above formula with no brackets.
Thanks for your help!

Kelly, Thank you so much! That solved it. Didn't realize that it also needed to be formatted as a date!
