time buffer and project calculation
Hello,
I've got two questions:
- How can I show a time buffer (late start/late finish)?
- How can I calculate the project start date, knowing when I need to finish the project and the duration of each of the tasks inside the schedule?
Thank you!

Hi @tomekaczor
If you're using a Project sheet, you can set a Baseline in your sheet to track how tasks change over time. (See: Set baselines on a project sheet). There currently isn't a way to make lag or lead time dynamic, but you can add in extra days to the next task to show a gap between tasks. Here's another Community post that has more context.
If you know the duration of each task and the end date, you can start from the bottom of your project sheet and work your way up, adding the Duration first, then add your Finish date after. This will automatically populate the Start Date for each task. See: Project sheet columns: Start Date, End Date, Duration, % Complete and Predecessors
Cheers,
Genevieve
