Conditional formatting on entire column

Hi,

I have a simple timesheet, each column is a date from 1st to last date of month. First row I have Weekdays (Mon, Tue, Wen etc.) for each column I wish to highlight the entire column of weekends (Sat, Sun). But conditional formatting only makes the specific cell (Sat, Sun) to the format.

How could I acheive what I need?

You would have to add so-called helper columns with information on each row to indicate that it's Sat/Sun.

Make sense?
