Restrict Cell value to formula only

Hi everyone,

I've written a formula in a cell and I do not want to allow manual entry of data in that cell. what function or formula can I use to restrict manual entry? Thank you.

If you convert the formula to a column formula, you won't be able to enter free text. Right click the cell/formula and go down to the bottom, select convert to column formula. It works on many, but not all formulas

Thank you Tim, however, I do not want the formula to run through the whole column. the formula is just for that cell and I do not want to allow free text in it.

@Sisey your options for restricting manual entry are to lock the row or column, or to create the column formula as suggested by Tim. You may need to get creative with how you format your page to make this work for you. You can’t restrict entry in a single cell, unfortunately!
