Admin access malfunction: giving me "view only" - what's going on?
I have be assigned as an Admin for my organization's shared sheets, but when I access them on my computer I am only able to open them in "view only" mode. Is there something the Owner of the sheet or I need to do for me to be able to edit as the Admin I am?
See in the screenshot below - I am Mollie, assigned as the Admin, but at the top next to the name of the sheet ("Event Planning 2024") you can see that it is in "view only" mode.
Any assistance would be helpful!

Hi @wolf.mollie
Do you know what plan-type your organization has? If the person who shared the sheet with you is on a Pro Plan, you'll need to be licensed on that same plan in order to edit content. Here's more information: Dashboard widgets and sharing in the Pro plan

How are you accessing the sheet @wolf.mollie ?
It is possible to access a sheet you have admin rights to (or are even the owner of) using a view only link. When you do that you are only able to view.
If you access the sheet from your tree, or from the link at the bottom of the sheet sharing pop up that you have there, you should be able to edit it. 🤞

Hi @KPH
I'm accessing the sheet from my Home page on Smartsheet. Is that what you mean by "my tree"?

It is what I meant. Access via your home page should not be the view only link. I’m afraid I don’t have any more ideas. Smartsheet support may be able to help.
