Paste as table

I need to regularly copy chunks of data from a SS and paste it into an email, but it pastes as text, which then requires a lot of manipulation to get columns to line up. Any way to get it to paste as a table?

Have you tried pasting into a blank Excel file?

I did not. That works. It does add another step and piece of S/W, though it's easier than messing around with the text, so thanks! Would still like to see the capability to paste as a table directly into a text based software.
