Applying / Syncing Information from One to Another Using a Lookup or Join

First time posting here.

I have two separate smartsheets (Smartsheet A and B). SmartSheet A contains our inventory. Smartsheet B consists of our Customer's Data such as which state they are in and GPS details. My personnel don't have access to SmartSheet A. They only have access to Smartsheet B.

When my personnel delivers the inventory, they place the inventory's serial number next to the Customer's data on SmartSheet B.

How would or what should I use to place the Customer's Data from Smartsheet B to Smartsheets A in reference to the Inventory Serial Number.

Hi... there are several options. You could use DataMesh or cross sheet references. I would look for some tutorials on either or both of those. Using cross sheet references you would use the INDEX/MATCH functions. They work just like they do in Excel if you are familiar with that.
