Automatic Cell Linking

I already have an automation so that when I update the status of a project to "Shipping", it adds it to our Shipping Tracker and notifies my logistics guy. Is there a way for Smartsheet to link the "Status" cell for that row in the Shipping Tracker to the "Status" cell of our Orders Tracker, so that when the order is shipped, he can change the status and it updates everywhere?

@Heald33 Does this need to be in a sheet or is it viable to use a report. My team finds that reports give the best transparency for these kinds of tasks, and those are bidirectional.

To add to Colleen's excellent advice/answer. (which I agree with. If possible, use a report)

Another option.

You could use cross-sheet formulas combined with either a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH structure to connect the sheets, and when you update the source sheet, it will reflect on the destination sheet.

To connect them row by row, you'd use an Autonumber Column in the Source sheet and add a so-called helper column to manually add the row id on as many rows as you think you need in the Destination sheet.
