Proofing - adding an option to dropdown values in Proofing Status

Hello,

I'm fairly new to the Proofing process in Smartsheet.

I would like to add an option to the dropdown values in the Proofing Status column. I know how to add the option, but not sure where or how if will affect the actual proofing process.

I would like to add a "Suggestions Made" option to the standard Created, In Review, Requires Changes, Approved, and Completed options.

There are times when someone just has a suggestion and not a Required Change.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

The Proofing Status column is automatically updated based on what's happening with the Proof, but this does mean that the options are the set ones from the column. There currently isn't a way of adding in customized status texts and linking it to an action taken in the proof. Here's more information: Track the status of a proof

That said, you could manually update the field when those changes happen! To do so, double-click on the column name and add your personal text to the column properties. Then your users can select "Suggestions Made" after they make a suggestion for that row.
