Check a box based on criteria in specific child rows

I am trying to find a formula that with check a box in a column based on a specific criteria in a project plan. For example, I have a column that identifies the status of an activity as late, in progress, at risk etc. I want to show under specific parent rows the total amount of late or at risk activities.

I am trying to make formulas for the following:

• Check a box for line items that are only under a certain level and are only under fruit column.
• Check a box for line items that have a status of Late and are only under fruit column and they are at a certain level
