linking data from multiple sheets to a master sheet

I have multiple Groups working on like projects with and almost all columns are identical. I want to bring that data together into 1 sheet that I can look at to make sure across the board all items are getting completed. I need the master sheet to get new rows and then update a specific column that is tracking the progress. Each row has a Row ID that is unique the sheet it came from example AAA-1 from sheet A, and BBB-1 from sheet B. I was thinking that creating a work flow to add all new rows from the sheets would be an excellent way to capture the new data on my Master Sheet, but updating the tracking is where it gets tricky because the formula would need to look at each of the sheets to see if the Row ID matches the information from the other sheets.
