Time stamping checkbox

I am trying to create an IF formula on a cell to give me todays date when a checkbox is checked off.

I tried the following but its giving me an error.

=IF(DONE@row= 1, TODAY())

Hi,

I hope you're well and safe!

You would use a Workflow combined with the register date action instead.

Make sense?

The TODAY function is updated automatically for each day.
