Countdown formula based on column calendar

I am using the sheet to track waste. I have a column that is the Accumulation Date based on the calendar option imbedded in the column which changes depending on the day the waste is input. I need my next column which is Days to Shipping to reflex the days since the waste was input. I will then conditionally format the colors of the cell when deadline parameters are getting close to their required ship out times - 15 days and 7 days out. New to this system so sorry if its a basic question.
