Document Builder: Create an appendable table

I am trying to develop a table that imports into a document.

Data: Employee Name, phone number, email

Data is updated every week and there could be more or less employees.

How can I make it to where the document just adds the data until it runs out? If I create a fillable pdf, the formatting does not allow for an table to continue to grow based on data.

Unfortunately, you're correct. We would either need to make the field bigger to accommodate this or have different Document Builder configs depending on its size.

You could use a so-called helper column or columns to have the data append in a cell.

Would that work/help?

Hi, Andree, I am unsure if that would work. The helper column would break down the data, but whenever I want to add it to the document, the document itself will not grow, right? Let's say one department needs 15 rows and another department needs 1000 rows. If the document won't expand, the text would only get smaller, correct?

A word document is able to push data further down in the document to make room, but document builder uses pdf form filler, meaning it would not be able to do that?

thank you Andree. What I figure i will end up having to do is develop the document externally to smartsheet and then use smartsheet for the tracking, approvals, etc workflow.
