Conditional formatting change status with colors

I want to change the status and the cell will change of color (red, green, etc) depending on the status. The sheet that I am working on doesn't have that possibility in the column settings.? see the image below.

can you help me with that?

You would use Conditional Formatting to adjust the cell fill color based on the status. That would be the button to the right of the paint roller in the top toolbar.
