How to make link embedded in the dashboard accessible to the free plan user user?

I have a dashboard, and link in it.

I shared the dashboard(admin rights) and the sheet link(admin) to the user, yet he still cannot access the sheet via dashboard.

Please help!

Have you tried publishing your spreadsheet? Not sure if that will make a difference!

yes, i had to, to get the link used in the dashboard.
