I recently changed two column types from Text/ Number to Date columns in my summary sheet and when I created a new project I got the following message…
Does anyone know how I can fix this to ensure the data links in to my summary sheet correctly?

I saw someone else having the same issue recently. Smartshetet said to ignore that error for now. It shouldn't affect anything.
Otherwise, I recommend submitting a support ticket through the new Smartsheet Support Portal.
