Full view doesn't open the card to default to showing the subtasks, how is that set?

No. When I return to the page the subtasks collapse again.

After selecting the level organization you want (such as "All Levels"), you'll need to click Save on the sheet to save that as the last view you've set up. Then when you exit the sheet and come back, it will open up to the last saved view.

If you're seeing the view change when you exit and come back, is it possible that the Level preference wasn't "saved"?

That's not the case. The subtasks still collapse.

Perhaps we're talking about different scenarios - the Levels will show individual cards per sub-task.

Are you wanting the same card to show its related tasks? Meaning, when you click on the tasks to show them in the same card, versus wanting to see all the subtasks in their own lane?

In this other scenario, you're correct - there currently isn't a way to always have all cards show their related sub-tasks as expanded. You can use Levels to surface this content as additional cards, instead.

I see we posted at the same time! 🙂 Thank you for the screen captures, this was really helpful to explain your scenario. It does look like you're referencing sub-tasks within the same card, which, as you noted, by design do not stay expanded after you navigate away from the sheet.

There currently isn't a related Product Idea posted in the Community to vote on - if you would like to provide your feedback to the Product team, please submit your feature request by creating a new Idea Post in the Smartsheet Product Feedback and Ideas topic.
