Content in a report not visible to other viewers

I've set up a report showing key milestones of various projects. I can see the report with the content that I've specified, however, when I share the report with users that have Smartsheet access, they can access the report, but they don't see any of the content. However, they do see the same report content in a dashboard that I set up and included the same report. Does anyone know what might be wrong with my report that is causing content not to show up when the report is shared separately?

Any tips would be much appreciated.

Are those users shared with at least Viewer access to the underlying sheets? If they don't have access to the source data then they won't see any data in the report.

Yes, they have viewer access and they can see the same data from the report in a Dashboard that they have the same access rights so it is perplexing that the report, itself, is completely blank.

Any thoughts?

Hi @MariluD ,

probably the users to whom you have shared the report do not have access to the source sheet? The reason why the people in the dashboard can see the content is probably because this is a published version. Maybe this helps.

I'm sorry but that was all I had. Typically, once people get the correct access the Report visibility works itself out. This might be something you should open a support ticket about because it sounds like a bug.

David, thank you for your answer. I went back into the underlying sheet and you were right, I failed to add viewer permissions there so have done that now. Based on your response, I'm sure the report will work now. Thank you so much. Have a great day.
