Linking multiple schedules together from different sheets

Hello, we need to link different schedules together from different sheets. So at a certain date on schedule 1 the schedule 2 will start. If anything is delayed on schedule 1 it will auto update schedule 2…how do we do this? Thank you!

Use Cell Links.

Find a milestone date or finish date for the point in the schedule where you want to drive the second schedule.

On the second schedule, in the Start Date cell for the first task, right click and choose "Link from Cell in Other Sheet". Browse to the first schedule and find that date that you want to use as the driving date, click it to select the cell, then click Create Link.

Once you do that, when that date on the first schedule changes, it will automatically also change on the second sheet.

Thank you. We have tried that but it does not seem to be linking/updating…even with a refresh…

It does. It's possible that it's being a little slow right now, but it works. We do it all the time.

I think I figured it out. We had a number in the predecessor box. Thanks for your help.
