Free Text Field for Location in Smartsheet

Is there a way to create a report and widget for a dashboard that will illustrate the number of requests per location based on form that is free test?

Perhaps add a column of type dropdown by US state or possibly US region (west, midwest, south, etc.) and then the free-form text field? That way you can do two things from a dashboarding perspective:

1. Surface the number of requests per location within your constrained dropdown, and
2. Surface a report of the free field GROUPED BY that constrained dropdown.
