How to restrict access to links in the Dashboard

Hi,

Pretty simple question, i want to restrict access to links within the dashboard. I am assuming viewers and up can access links, is there a way to restrict users who only have viewer access to literally just view the dashboard and no links?

No. Limiting access is done on the item(s). If you do not share me to Sheet A, but there is a link on a dashboard that I have access to, I can click on that link, but I still won't be able to access the sheet because you didn't share me to the sheet.

You would need to restrict their access to the linked items. If I have access to the dashboard, but I do not have access to the sheet that is linked on the dashboard, clicking on the link in the dashboard will not grant me access.

So basically limiting access needs to be down within the link itself not within smartsheets, correct?
