How can I don't count a child task (0if the status in not applicable) towards my parent % complete?

I have to input 100% to the not applicable rows in order to get the parent row %complete get to 100%. Is there a way I can avoid inserting the 100% to the not applicable row? Thanks in advance for your help!

There's no way to not use a child row towards the parent's % Complete. You can however use automation to update the % Complete to 100 for the Not Applicable rows to save yourself the administrative burden.

Thank you for the advice. In order to utilized automation, will I have to remove the dependencies? What kind of automation will work best? I apologize if I'm asking too many questions, I just started utilizing smartsheet a month ago.
