Total Hours Worked

I am trying to find the sum of the total duration of hours worked. When I use the formula =Sum(Children()), It comes back in with a "0" value. I tried adding a column to convert the "Duration" to an actual number and I am getting "Invalid Value." when using the AI recommendation formula of =VALUE([Duration]@row)

Any Suggestions. I need the total number of hours worked from a "Duration" number.

Summing the children as below works for me. This works even if you enter hours in (it will just return a fraction of a day based on the number of working hours in a day you have set).
