Export formula to Excel

I am trying to export a budget sheet that has formulas to Excel and still have the ability to manipuate the numbers with the same formula, but it does not carry the formula with the export. Is there a way to preserve that formula during export? or is there some other way to export the data and keep access to the original formula?
