how to change the "Grouped By:" on the new board view?

I am trying to edit the grouped by on the new board view and it only shows one option. how do i group by a different column?

Based on my experience, your column needs to be a dropdown to be able to see it as an option.

@Leahbartsch Thank you for asking this - I also have the same question. I want to be able to switch board views based on "status" and "budget" but I cant seem to adjust the criterion that SmartSheet uses to group the board.

@Leahbartsch After some investigation, it looks like you need to have at least 1 Contact column, 1 symbol column, and the column you wish to organize by has to be a dropdown column WITHOUT allowing multiple dropdown selections (which I do not like, but it is what it is). Got mine to work!
