Auto Fill Cell with HEX Color from code on different cell

Hi.

I have two columns with many rows.

"Column A" is called HEX that has a HEX color code that is distinct to that row (this code will not be repeated in the sheet)

I want "Column B," called SWATCH, to automatically fill with the HEX code from "column A."

I have a formula to do this in Excel, based on pulling from an outside source, but this does not translate to Smartsheet and, if possible I'd like it to do it automatically without an outside source.

Is this possible?

@Crawhammer You cannot custom color grid cells. You can do hex customizations on a dashboard such as fonts/backgrounds but not in the grid. On the sheet/cell formatting you only have the 40 color options in the main drop down for backgrounds.
