Each data point as a new variable?
Hello!
I am fairly new to setting up a dashboard but I am trying to visualize a summary of some of our survey questions. I uploaded our numeric dataset to Smartsheet and then tried to create a chart focused on a question about income level. There are seven response options for this question, and you can see on the pie chart pictured here that each participant has selected one of those options. However, instead of having seven response options in the chart's legend, each data point is treated as a new variable, so I can't actually see a summary of responses. I would like all 1s, 2s, 3s, etc. grouped together as seven total variables. Can anyone tell me why this might be happening and how to fix it? Thanks!

I would suggest creating a row report. You can then use the grouping feature in the report to group by response, use the summary feature within the report to get the counts for each response, and then use this report to create your chart.
