How can I reflect due dates my person from a reference sheet, showing if tasks are due or overdue?
I need help reflecting data from a reference sheet column to another column in a different sheet, specifically to the display due dates by person. I want the columns (I have one for "Due" and "Not Due") to show whether each task is due or not, I want to use this information to create a dashboard with a graph that visualizes task by owner, showing which ones are due or overdue. How can i achieve this?

Aare you able to provide some screenshots for context (sample data is fine)?

Here are some screenshots:
First view is what I want to use as the reference sheet.
Second is where I need/want to populate.
Lastly is the dashboard visual, these will be displayed as a stacked bar graph to reflect both due and past due dates. per owner.
The end goal is also for these to automatically update as the dates pass the projected target date.

What formula are you currently using there in the second screenshot?

=COUNTIFS({ Reference Sheet Range 2}, " Owner Name", {Reference Sheet Range 3}, "Delayed(Original status from screenshot #1)")

The only way you could get an incorrect argument error using that syntax with that function is if your ranges do not match in size and shape. Have you confirmed that both ranges are in fact single column ranges?
