Unable to group or summarize by contact column

I have the same issue and there is only one contact in the column. Cannot group or summarize by that column.

Hi @Steve K
The original discussion was almost a year ago. I gave it a fresh look, and here is a solution.
The Source Sheet with Contact Lists checks the Group List sheet like the second image and checks the Group A, B, and C columns with the formula like these;
[Group A] =IF(HAS(COLLECT({Group List Range : Group}, {Group List Range : Contacts}, HAS([Contact 1]@row:[Contact 3]@row, @cell)), "A"), 1)
[Group B] =IF(HAS(COLLECT({Group List Range : Group}, {Group List Range : Contacts}, HAS([Contact 1]@row:[Contact 3]@row, @cell)), "B"), 1)Using the value of those Group A-C checkboxes as a filter, we can build reports that group projects by group.

Hi @Steve K
Even if only one option is in the cell, if the Column is set up to allow multiple contacts then you won't be able to use that column for grouping. Can you check the column properties (double click on the column name) in the source sheet?
Cheers,
Genevieve
