Scanner won't "Enter" after scan

Hi! When I scan data in Word or Excel, after I scan it will auto "Enter" to the next line but when I scan in a SmartSheet form, I have to "Tab" to get to the next line after a scan. Are there specific settings in SmartSheet to be able to automatically "Enter" to the next line after a scan or is this not possible with SmartSheet yet? Thank you.

Are you able to provide some screenshots for context? Not sure what you mean by "Scan". Tab usually goes left / right, so also not sure what you mean when you say you are using that to get to another line (up / down movement).
