Hi All,

I'm trying to make an equation wherein if I type "Critical" in column 1, column 2 then will automatically assign it as "priority 1"

Hi Leod, you could use an if statement for this purpose.

In column two, use the following formula: =IF(column1@row="Critical","Priority 1",column1@row)

This will make anything that is Critical in column 1 priority 1 in column 2. If column 1 is not critical, then column 2 will display what is in column 1

Thank you, it works. Now, how do I add multiple conditions? I tried this equation below, but it only works at the 2nd condition, "Medium." the 3rd condition shows an error.

    =IF([Fault Severity]@row = "Critical", "1", IF([Fault Severity]@row = "Medium", "2"), IF([Fault Severity]@row = "Low", "3"))

    =IF([Fault Severity]@row = "Critical", "1", [Fault Severity]@row = "Medium", "2", [Fault Severity]@row = "Low", "3")

    =IF([Fault Severity]@row = "Critical", "1", IF([Fault Severity]@row = "Medium", "2", IF([Fault Severity]@row = "Low", "3")))

I think you had an extra parenthesis in there. Let me know if this does not work

  • it worked thank you
