Row with Multiple drop down choices and creating a summary

We have a Column on our Sheet which is a drop down list however more than one can be picked? Is there a way to as a summary to look for that field so that it sums it up?

Below are 2 which are in a row and chosen from the drop down

When we do the summary we would like this to be counted in both the IT Operations and Infra and the Sasser Strategic Services counts.

When I use the Count If function it wants me to lump the 2 together. Is there a different formula I can use that will pull if that is found in the column?

    @MelanieJohn 1. For if you choose drop you can change multi select here @picture.

    2. Single Select works , sometime it helps FIRST MAKE the Formular in a Text Field then change to a drop down . =COUNTIF(Dep6:Dep17, "IT Operations")

    Count =IT Operations

    Sasser

    Count =Sasser
