Hi,
Why the alignement is lost in some cells when a copy paste a row? See below. How can I prevent this?
Thank you for your help

Hit Save and it should return to alignment.

@Brian_Richardson Unfortunately not :(

Did you copy from the same sheet, or was the row copied from a different sheet?

@Ray Lindstrom Same sheet. I copy paste a row on another

@Ray Lindstrom Same problem if I insert a row. See below

I created a sheet to test this. I tested using both Chrome and Edge. I made sure I had text, date, and symbol columns. I aligned my symbols column and a text column to center alignment.
- I used the Copy menu option.
- I clicked the far left of the row and typed Ctrl+C
- I dragged across all cells in the row.
- I tried with Ctrl+V, the Paste menu option, and the insert row option.
Each way I tried, my alignment remained upon pasting.
Sorry, I'm unable to reproduce the issue thus unable to help troubleshoot it.

Hi @Julie Barbeau,
I tested this on my end too, and the only time I saw the symbol cell’s alignment differently in the pasted row was when the column’s alignment was set to right-align when I copied the row, and then was set to center-align before I pasted the row - when I did so, the pasted row showed the symbol as right-aligned where all the other symbols were center-aligned.
Assuming that's not what's happening in your sheet, I’d recommend creating a Support ticket if you’re still seeing this issue, as there may be something happening with the particular sheet you’re seeing this in.
Thanks,
Georgie

Thank you, @Georgie!

Hi @Ray Lindstrom and @Georgie!
I did some others test and I realized the problem seems to be related to column I converted to column formula. If a convert the column to cell formula, the problem seems to disappear when I copy paste. Even if the column is center alignment BEFORE I convert to column formula, if a copy paste a row after I convert the column to column formula, the alignment is lost ☹

Hi @Julie Barbeau,
Sorry to hear you’re still experiencing the problem! I see you have an open ticket with the Support team - please continue to work with them on this, as it sounds like something in the specific sheet or browser might be causing the problem.
Thanks,
Georgie
