Use of Templates

Why, when I use a template which I created, and I save that as a new sheet, do I have to go back in and update the work flows and also re-map the document which was in that template?

Just to clarify, when you say that you have to re-map the document which was in that template, are you saying that when you create a new sheet from the template that it messes up the original sheet?
