Moving data to a parent row within the same sheet

Hi Community,

Is there a formula I could use to move a new entry to a specific parent row with certain criteria met?

For example,

A member has completed a form and the data comes in at the top of the row and based on what activity is selected, we manually have to move it to the correct parent row.

    Hi @Canteaug,

I don't think this is possible. Have you thought using this sheet to collect all of the "raw" data, but using a Report to manage the data. You can use the Group, Filter, Sort, and Summarize buttons in the report to organize the data however you want, so that you don't have to keep manually coping and moving the rows all of the time.

I'm not sure how your current sheet decides which group it belongs to (when you move the row down in the sheet). If it requires complex logic, you can add a helper column in your sheet that the report can use to group the rows however you want.

    Would this work for you?
