Sheets are loading SUPER slow, is it loading the entire sheet's image assets, not just one selected?

It seems over the last two weeks or so that Smartsheet is loading super slow. We use the sheet to track images and about 15 columns of data per row. Recently we went from almost instant loading of items to clicking in a cell and having to wait for the cursor to come up to adjust values. Waiting up to 15 seconds for just the cursor, then super slow data entry as letters show up at a snail pace.

Before it seemed like the data field were instant, no delay and images might take a few seconds, but now the entire sheet is slow.

We have checked the internet speed, restarted the computer, and still super slow. This is really effecting out daily work, any ideas?

Also, we have reduce the number from rows, had been about 1,200 before the slow down and we have broken them out to others sheets, leaving about 120 entires only, hoping that less rows would increase speed, but it has not.

Any ideas or tips would be appreciated.

There are many elements that add to a sheet’s complexity - images are one of these elements, and others are conditional formatting, formulas, cell links, predecessors, and the number of cells in the sheet. 

It’s difficult to know if the complexity of your sheet(s) is what’s causing the slow loading times without seeing your setup. I’d recommend taking a look at the following help article and trying the troubleshooting steps within it:

It sounds like your sheet is not approaching Smartsheet size limits (you can check these out here), but the following article might be helpful if your sheet is quite complex:

If you’re still seeing slow loading times after following the troubleshooting steps, I’d suggest reaching out to our Support team who’ll be able to assist with this issue via private channels, and they’ll be able to review your account and sheets on the backend. If you can share the following information with them, that will help them troubleshoot:

• Are all users experiencing this behaviour?
• Is this happening in all sheets? If not, provide the URL of affected sheet(s).
• Are you being met with any error messages, or are sheets just taking a long time to load?
• Timestamp including time zone of when issue was most recently experienced.
