Esc key now equals refresh?

As of today, October 7, 2024, any time I press the Esc key, my sheet automatically refreshes without the option to save. This happens while editing cell data, editing column properties, anything. It will automatically reload the current sheet and not give me an option to save.

Is this something that Smartsheet applied, if so, is there an option to disable this function? I've lost so much progress today due to this, it's extremely frustrating.

I'm running Google Chrome/Windows Laptop and I'm not experiencing this. What browser are you on?

Thank you. I just tried it there and I'm not experiencing it there either. I'm following this thread to see if anyone else comments.

Hello! I have experienced this a few times before, including today (3/20/2025), which prompted the Google search that led me to this post. I am also using the Smartsheet desktop app so I'm curious if that is why.

I agree it's quite frustrating. Posting here in case there have been any new developments. :)
