Average Time for Chart
Hi all,
I'm having trouble calculating an average duration of a time to resolve per quarter. This information is in two columns on a sheet: Time to Resolution (data type Duration) and Incident Year/Quarter (dropdown list). I've looked in the time articles and downloaded the formula template, and still missing the right one. After it's calculated, I need to throw it in a chart for a dashboard. Can anyone please help with the formula?
Thanks!

I would do something like this (although I would do it on separate sheet but wanted to show you what I meant):
It's simply saying calculate the average duration if the quarter/ year is "Q3 2024" so you can have an average duration per quarter. If you create a new sheet and use the same formula but reference your source data sheet, that'll be neater.
You can then select that data for your chart.
Is that what you meant or have I misunderstood?

Hi Jeremy,
I think this put me on the right track, but I'm still getting the dreaded #UNPARSEABLE error no matter what I put in there. Thank you for your help in the right direction.
