Notification problems

I was trying to have a notification sent to the "Responsible Party" assigned to that cell so they would receive an email when the row was assigned to them. It seems straight forward but it is not working for me.

(I used another email address I have as the responsible party for testing purposes)

what did I do wrong?

Hello,

Judging from your screenshot, it appears that you haven't shared that sheet to anyone.

Aside from putting their email address in the "Responsible Party" column, you'll also need to either share the sheet to them (using the Sharing tab at the bottom) OR change the sheet's notification settings to allow anyone with a valid email to receive notifications from that sheet.
