Auto Number Column - what happens when numbers run out?
I have a sheet with an auto number column which I expect to get very large. What happens when all the available options for unique numbers are used? For example, once I have already used 001-999, does the next row start at 001 again, or will it stop populating numbers? Or will I get errors?
I have chosen the option with the most place values possible in the column settings, but given the high use of this sheet for the foreseeable future, I want to make sure that the formulas which rely on these unique row numbers will continue to work. Also, it doesn't seem like this is addressed anywhere else on the forum or help articles.
Thanks!

Hi @S Roskos
The sheet will continue numbering without the leading prefix, e.g.: 000 - 999 with turn to 1000, 1001, 1002 etc. Currently sheets can hold 20,000 rows - speed may drop as you reach the maximum.
Cheers.
