Dashboard Template Question

Hello!

I am not sure if this was asked/answered before, so I pre-apologize for any duplicity. I have been using Smartsheet for 3.5 years now at two different workplaces. I recently landed a position where I am in charge of setting up the PMO here. This includes building Smartsheet from the ground up. This is an amazing challenge for me, and I am so excited. I was wondering if anyone had a dashboard template or visual they could share with me.

I am very proficient with Smartsheet but I personally lack on the creative side of creating dashboards. This is going to be a portfolio dashboard that showcases active, completed and backlogged projects. Have links to other necessary pages, description of dashboard etc.

Hi Paul,

I built quite many portfolio templates but those were always tailored for company needs so nothing general.

Maybe stupid question but I think the templates offered by smartsheet shall help you to have something generic: https://app.smartsheet.com/r/template-gallery?category=All+templates

That sounds like an exciting challenge—congratulations on the new role! Setting up a PMO from scratch is no small task, but it’s incredibly rewarding.

When it comes to portfolio dashboards, I’ve found that simplicity and clarity are key, especially if the goal is to give stakeholders a quick, actionable overview. Grouping projects by status (active, completed, backlog) with links to key pages, metrics, and descriptions works really well.
